Jared and Jensen on stage together

(audience yells as Jensen falls onto stage)

JP: (looks around and laughs) That last step's a killer.
(Jensen is fine!)
(Jared grabs Jensen's mike and hands Jensen his mike. Jensen looks at the mike and doesn't touch it.)
JP: (laughing) He knows.
JA: Hi. Actually I don't, I just trust my instincts.
JP: get you a chair? for you? I'm way too hot. (removes hat)
JA: No. (Jensen grabs Jared's hat, which Jared had hung on his foot, and is about to throw it into the audience)
JP: I'm going to, uh don't do it, don't (serious) don't do it, don't dude, I just bought that,
JA: That chair looks really nice (hands back hat)
JP: I got to get something out of my coat … you know I'll finish this question real fast, she was asking what I think about Sam and Ruby.
JA: Oh please, by all means (walks away hastily)
JP: I think it's important for the story, where'd she go? OK, I think it's important for the story, and I think we all knew it was going there, and I love that Kripke gets stuff done, he doesn't just dance around it, and I think it just shows how messed up Sam is at his brother's loss, or because of the loss of his brother.
JP: Like this. (Because Jensen has disappeared off stage to get his chair)
JA: Hi. I was getting bored back there with that.
JP: I know, I get it, I get it,
JA: what were all you guys talking about, …
JP: necrophilia, ipecac
JA: Isn't that a surgery?
JP: What's it called, ipecac, I swear, ipecac
JA: I had a cat once.
JP: Yea, yea Ipecac makes you throw up. Don't go there. Next please.
JA: I didn't want to touch that.
Q: What would you like your action figures to do?
JA: I would be taller.
JP: and I would just be taller than him. I would want to be able to ipecac.
JA: projectile
JP: Yea, you'd have to have my hand like this, so you push a little button and (hand of ipecac) do this. But it can't go above that, because then it, has to be a stopper, yea, can't go too high, yea, yea, the arm-man.
JA: My arms would actually be able to bend at the elbows, so that I could still eat, and probably, like, have, some sort of really disgusting fried food in the hand of Dean, so that he's constantly (motions eating).
JP:That is what they make me do, ALL the time (sigh).
JP: And they make me ipecac. Grass is always greener.
JJ: Thank you (Jared gets his drink)
Q: Hi. What's up, cuties?
JA:(deep Dean voice) What's up yourself, sweet thing?
Q: Your favourite behind the scenes story since last year?
JP: Since last Chicago? (drinks – waves towards Jensen to answer)
JA: What are you drinking?
JP: Monster low carb energy, um yea, it's really good. (Jensen makes a face – does Jared need more energy?)
JA: um, favourite behind-the-scene moment? Ah well of course they aired a good one, um.
JP: Oh yea.
(someone shouts out Wincest)
JA: What? I heard that. (Frowning, looks at Jared)
JP:(serious) That's not funny.
JA: I don't know. What are some …?
JP: My favourite is, thank god we caught it on film, the air guitar thing, and also because, … yea, it's really awesome, and I really wanna stress it was totally unrehearsed, like he had no idea I wasn't going to come into the scene and hit my cue and stuff like that, and kinda was what he did, that was my favourite, so everybody else, the crew, got a kick out of that.
JA: again, yea, and I'll have to get back to you,
Q: (see you later)
JA: Absolutely, yea
JP: Look how many people there are, a lot of people.
JP:(teasing) All here to see me.
JP: All here to see you introduce me
JA: right, except you came on first,
JP: yea, start strong,
JA: idjit
JP: start strong
JA: Hi, sorry, we're just rambling, now.
Q: …
JA: Hi, Lauren,
JP: I'm Jensen, (makes face, weird movements) I had to slouch down (repeating what Jensen said off mike)- y'all heard that, right?
Q: really quick – syrup of ipecac – now that you're living together, if Jensen ever tries to poison you,
JP: Don't tell me this! What are you talking about?
JA: If you could just write this down,
Q: ipecac, makes you throw up
JP: that actually exists, that's like a word that …?
JP: I see, all right, didn't know
JA: All right then, the word of the day.
Q: Two girls, one's a Jensen-lover, one a Jared-lover (they stand up at the back)
JP: Jared-lover sounds smart, sit down, sit down, you can stand, sweetie, you sit down
JA: You're going to go far.
Q: We like watching Supernatural
JP: Awesome, thank you very much,
JA: Very cool.
JP: thank you Jared-lover
JA: and thank you Jensen-lover
JA: you've got a strong future ahead of you, supporting the Jared-lover,
JP: working for the Jared-lover,
JA: oh I think I'm gonna throw up
JP: ipecac?
Q: I have a 9-year old, last week had to cover their eyes, your scene last week,
JP: (innocently) what are you talking about, ipecac? Oh, I'm sorry, I'll ask them not to write that any more,
Q: and next week
JA: I suggest you watch it like this (hand over face)
JP:(deadpan) You know what, if it's, if it makes you feel better, we'll just tell the writers to not write that any more, no, thank her, it'll make the show better,
Q: Any future shower scenes?
JP: Baby shower? Wedding shower?
JA: Well I hope so, but I don't know if they've cast the lead actors for that yet but,
JP: can't wait to see that
JA: Didn't we have the shower scene in the last episode, In the Beginning? (actually 4.08 Wishful Thinking)
Q:oh the ladies,
JA: Boom!
Q: Let me clarify, YOU in the shower?
JA:(smiling) well, now that's just out of line,
JP: Don't tell Sara Gamble, she'll write that in,
Q: what's her number/email
JP: I forgot … thank you
JP: What's up, Starlin?
Q: what are your biggest fears and were any encouraged from being on the show?
JP: None of mine were encouraged, I just answered this question the other day, I never think about it, then I thought about it, what my fears are?
JA:(Points at his arm)
JP: having really small arms one day, waking up with tiny arms, what is it? You know, what gets me is when you, I'm more scared of being startled, like when you wake up and there is a noise,
JA: that, he screams really loudly
JP: What bugs me is always just noises in the night, like in the middle of the night, I always get up and act like tough: Who's there? I'm really big, and walk around, yea, so I guess that's me.
JA: I don't fear. I don't do fear, like that television show.
A: The cat
JA: What? You know, ha ha, that scene, that stupid cat flying out they made me yell so long, I was hoarse by the end of that scene. Had to do the scene, the one over the car, – 'I quit' – afterwards, and I was hoarse throughout the entire rehearsing of that scene. I don't know, to get back to your question, that wasn't really an answer, just…
Q: you can take my turn
JA: no, no, I'm kidding, go ahead.
Q: What's your favourite colour?
JP: To do what with? Umm it's silver right now, but I like black, I like black, it hides things.
JA: Didn't we determine that is a void of colour?
JP: No, yes, it is actually, we're not talking about light, the science thing
JP: Nice job, way to mess it up.
JA: I'd say like blue, (points to Jared's royal blue mike) that's actually the colour of uh, you know they put marks down so that actors can find their way around the scene, that's actually the exact colour of the tape they put down for my mark.
JA:Funny story, I did a movie this summer, in Pittsburg, and um, he's red, he always uses red marks, and ha ha the guys, the camera crew put down red marks for me, and I walk around like, where's my mark, and they're like it's right there. I'm like, oh brother, we're gonna have to talk about this. It's like, if you throw a blue mark down, I'll nail it every time. Red? Evil! So I guess I got to go blue.
Q: Thanks
JP: Cool, all right, thank you.
Q: Hi,
JP: and what's your phone's name?
Q: WallE, after the robot … movie.
JP:(stumped) ahh really? … really? I'll have to go and see it.
Q: I'm a big Jared fan, Mom loves Jensen, we discuss who's better.
JP: You're going places, thank you
JA: Listen to your mother
JP: Ok, I'm a bigger fan of you than your mother,
JA: A very smart woman
JP: Is she losing her vision?
JA: She'll come around.
Q: If you could ask your character any question?
JP: Why do you always drop your gun, whenever there's a bad guy, where you can't get to it? And, where did you learn to ipecac? Jensen?
JA: Why must you eat all the time?
JP: Thank you, once again, you're very very smart and going places, good taste.
Q: Biggest inspiration for acting?
JP: Money,
JA: wasn't fame
JA: I have to say my father, my Dad, he's been an actor in Dallas, for as long as I've been alive, been on, you know, television shows and does commercials and voiceovers and radio work and stuff like that. I think it was just kind of growing up with that kind of personality in the house, we'd always do funny stuff, goof around,
and when it came time to pick a, some sort of an elective, I think they call it, in school, art class or theatre, or a couple of other things, well I just, I thought well hey, I can,… (Jared waves hands) would you like to answer?
JA: OK, I'm done talking now
JP: Would you like to answer mine?
JA: I did that, I was just like, maybe I'll just go to drama class because I'm good at making a goof of myself, so I would have to say that originally that's kind of where it began.
JP: I think I was just the black sheep, I didn't have, no there was no-one in my family, or friends, acting it was.
Q: (To Jensen) I met your dad at the Dallas con.
JA: A good man, thank you.
JP: What was that song by the way dum dum dum, is it just a ringer? I kinda like it.
JA/JP:Hi
Q:There has been speculation about a Gilmore girls movie?
JA:(fangirly) oh please! please!
JP:(pats Jensen's shoulder) Jensen's gonna scream, so cover your ears
JP: yea, there has been speculation, I heard that myself and I would totally go back and do it … and there's also been speculation of a "Days Of Our Lives" movie (giggle).
JA: (sarcastic)I would totally go back and do it, … for 5 million dollars
JP: I'd love to go back and do it, yea, thank you, to play Dean again.
JA: There's only one Dean.
JP: I had five years of Dean.
JA: I'm gaining on you.
JP: That's right, originated, thank you.
Q: Question for Jensen, can you reenact the cat scene?
JA: Here's the thing, um I have no doubt that a lot of what was filmed that – glorious (sarcastic) afternoon, will make it on the gag reel, and I wouldn't want to ruin it for you.
JP: It's very sweet
JA: You can thank me later. Now I feel really bad.
JP: That's all right she can cry herself to sleep.
JA: wait for it, wait for it, it'll be better when you see it in its original form, I swear, I wouldn't be able to do it justice.
Q: Hi
JA: … phew skirting that one.
JA: Hi, sorry.
Q: Love you guys.
JP: Thank you.
Q:What's the scariest thing that happened to you, not on the show?
JP: I flipped a car, I rolled a car when I was shooting Flight of the Phoenix, I thought I was dead, so that was definitely it for me.
JA: umm ha ha ha I took a plane ride from Denver to Santa Fe in Mexico it was an 11-passenger plane and probably the worst storm I've ever, ever seen, and in a plane that small you feel every little bump, and it's not just a little shake, it's you know when an airplane drops and you lose your stomach a little bit it's like woah, the kind of same thing with like a rollercoaster, it was those kind of drops, for two and a half hours, and I was flying with one of my best friends, Ty Vaughn and he was sitting just across the aisle, and we were just white knuckling the arm rest, and he looked at me and goes well man, it's been really nice being your friend, and I mean, dead serious, we thought we were going down, but we made it, here I am.
Q: Which urban legend would you like on the show?
JA: Nessie
JP: Any sort of demon or ghost or spirit that haunts Hawaii
JA: It's the ghost surfer, oh sorry, the guys have got to go to Hawaii,
JP: to shoot on location. I always say the Shadowman, which is a twilight zone which I watched when I was growing up and uh
Q: headless horseman
JP: horseman? oh yea, that'd be a lot of fun, actually, maybe next Hallowe'en
JA: guys in like a time warp or something, we go back to the old west (audience agrees)
JA: Write Eric Kripke.
JP: Not Sera, it'd be like the naked west
JA: clothes … Thank you
Q: Hi I'm Sara
JA: Hi Sara
JP: Not Gamble?
Q: Sorry Jensen, my Q is for Jared
JA: Shoot.
Q: I heard that you speak French and Italian? … Can either of you?
JP: That I do? Ah oui, madame? No, I don't speak either. No! I wish I did,
JA: Not fluently.
JP: Not really, I can sort of, ha Canadian
JA: yea, Canadian,
Q: Can either of you say Happy birthday to me in another language?
JP: Feliz Cumpleanos and Happy Birthday-eh. Three languages, right there.
Q: Dude, Jensen, you seem like the sort of guy to drive a Toyota Prius, what kind of car do you drive in real life?
JP: a smart car
JA: I do drive a Toyota, but I drive a Toyota Tundra, the big full sized
Q: To Jared: heard you never turn down Guitar Hero challenge
JP: I never turn down a Guitar Hero Challenge…
JA: Except right now,
JP: I never BEFORE, I have not,
Q: For months I wanted to challenge you to Guitar Hero
JP: Seriously, is it here? No kidding, yea, next time we should get it hooked up,
JA: we should have it right here (points at screen behind)
Q: I have Rock Band
JP: We'll pick some songs
JA: sweet, I'll play the tamborine.
JP: It's on man, it's on, we'll take a raincheck on that, you know we're going straight to Vancouver taking it to set and play
JA: as if you don't already
Q: Hi Jensen
JP: Didn't like your shoes any more?
Q: Feet hurt,
JP: so mine
Q: it's Jensen's turn for this question, which superpower?
JA: Any superpower? This is always a loaded question. I have to go flying I mean because it's the least …
JP: … boring.
JA: Well, I think it's the least, I mean as far as having really bad negative things happen, like if you could read people's mind, probably not be the best thing, or if …
JP: Laser out of your eyeballs; I wanna be Aquaman.
JA: Aquaman? and stink like fish.
JP: I was destroyed by the …
JA: Anyway, I've got to go that answer, I'd like to fly, that'd be fun.
Q: I want to ask about your movie, Jensen?
JP: Would you like me to go twiddle my thumbs at the back? (Shakes head and waves hands that he didn't mean it.) I don't, no, I'd love to hear about this.
JA: You know what, he's going to take off out of here in a second and I'll be with you guys a little bit longer, so I'll talk about it then. Yep.
Q: The episode that went back in time What would you guys have done?
JP: I would take Sam back to right before he was born, and it'd be all Jensen, and I'd have the week off. You mean our characters or us? I'd love to go back in time and meet my parents at my age, and back when they were my age, it was a long time ago, a lot of times they are like, I never did that, I did this. So, see my parents, like, I did that, nope, you didn't. Jensen?
JA: ummm that was a very good answer Jared,
JP: Thank you, it's not flying, but
JA: No, that would have been better. If I could go back in time, I don't know, the medieval era is kinda something, with the swords and the horses and the damsels in distress, and you know, I would be a real hero, (damsel in distress) damsel in distress, right here
(Like Dean?
JA: Absolutely, well go back that far, I could invent electricity, be rich.
JP: so you could buy a bad ass WAGON, have the coolest WAGON in town
JA: I would then invent the car, and be rich.
JP: and have one horse power
Q: I'm Jensen's Braum's girl
JP: Is what? All right.
JA: I'll preface that, Braum's is an ice cream parlour in Texas and it's, uh, it was a frequented place by my family when I was a growing up.
Q: What was your favourite Ten Inch Hero scene to do?
JA: My favourite scene as in TIH? Well let me see, there was only – scenes in the sandwich shop, or the scene in the grocery store, so yea, I'd say yea, just the introductory scene of my character. (audience says dance)
JA: I don't dance, I don't dance in that movie, … do I? (audience yell)
JP: There's a crowd of a thousand people saying you do dance!
JA: Oh that little tap dance thing when I came in, that was it? not really, that was just like me freaking out, they didn't even want that, that was totally unscripted, I was like, what if I came in and did this, not thinking at all they're going to like it and use it, so I…
Q: Jared, previously, you had a little injury on your forehead from Friday the 13th, were there any other injuries?
JP: Just little cuts, and bruises, and little bangs up, banged up… cuts and bruises that's it, yea, just kinda sore, I go back this Saturday (Nov 23rd) to Austin, to shoot reshoots, and see all those guys and gals again, but nothing too bad. thank you. … bangs ups, how'd you say that, bang ups,
Q: After Supernatural is over do you think you'll be as good friends?
(both sarcastic, deadpan, talking over each other)
JP: Oh once the show's over,
JA: Not really, no, we'll never talk.
JP: block his calls,
JA: I'm just gonna fall off the face of the earth,
JP: I'm not gonna read his fan mail to me any more,
JA: No, I mean, no, you know what's the point?
JP: I'll change my numbers.
JA: I'll change the locks.
JP:(laughs) my house!
JA:(rolls eyes)
Q: …
JA: Say again?
Q: Do you have any tattoos for real?
JP: I do not
JA: I do not.
JP: I'd like one, it's tough, it's tough as an actor, to get tattoos, a lot of actors have tattoos, but everybody tells you not to because then it's obviously Jared, that's a Jared tattoo, and then there's a part, it's kind of harder to create a character, because it's like oh well this character happened to have a tattoo, and then that one, and you go back and do a scene or a movie takes place in he 1800s, and you've got a tattoo like 'I love Harley Davidson' on your arm, and it's like, you know, you could only get it in one place (suggestive).
JP: under your arm.
JA: Actually I would say that, yea, because I have nothing against them either, but, this movie I did in the summer, I worked with Jamie King, and she had like nine tattoos, around her body, which is an extra, two and a half hours in the make-up chair in the morning, just to cover them up, and I was like, no thank-you, I would rather sleep.
JP: Thank you
Q: I came from Brazil, are you going there?
JP: Good. I'm dying to go to Brazil, actually my sister and I are going to Buenos Aires on the 26th December, we're going there for a week, I know it's not Brazil, but it is South America, and I wanted to go to Brazil, I tried to convince her to go to Brazil, but. Where in Brazil are you from? Sao Paulo? You know on of our ADs we work with named Gabe is from Sao Paulo. He talks about it, tries to get us go visit, but I will definitely go visit
JA: I dated a girl from Sao Paulo, does that count? Guess not.
Q: Thank you
Q: Hi I'm Carly
JA: A damsel in distress.
Q: Wanna save me? (Jensen does a cartoon, "hero dashing to the rescue" pose.)
JP: Do that dance again!
Q: chats (for a long time) about injuries
Q: Sam gets injured a lot,
JA: That's right, nothing hurts me,
JP: I died! Is your Mom here? Hi grandma.
Q: Dean really kills himself, what do you guys think?
JA: I knew there was a question in there somewhere.
JP: I die too! I just died the other week, I got struck by lightning. Well, I think they like to injure us.
JA: Well, when you think about it, and think about the stuff we do, I would say the injuries are pretty minimal, as far as, you know like jumping out of that big stained glass window, if we did that, are you kidding me, like, we're walking away from that? The actual window itself I think, was like 30 feet high, something like that, plus stained glass,
JP: He broke a glass the other day like little glass and it's still bleeding,
JA: Yea, I broke a glass – finger (JA shows the plaster on his left ring finger.)
JP: yea, you'd get pretty wrecked.
JJ: Thank you
Q: Now that you live together, who takes longer getting ready in the morning?
JA: Every day, … I wait – I could write a book,
JA: Waiting on Jared
JP: I take longer, … but because … I have dogs, I have to like shove them out of the door
JP: it's my house, I have to lock it up, make sure the alarm is set, and I always work out in the morning, so I'm always, like waiting til the last second, just out of the shower and all glistening (grins) and like…
JA: and I'm in the car, waiting,
Q: Thank you (Jared's the girl)
JA: I didn't say it.
JA: What gave you that impression, was it his luscious locks?
(Jensen gestures to hair)
JP: What? I work out, I got dogs, so Jared's the GIRL?
JA: Makes sense to me.
JP: I think I'm being called, am I getting called? All right guys, I'm being summoned out of here, so thanks, I know, makes me really sad. Thanks guys.
(Jared picks up his can and walks to his left in front of Jensen, lifting his right heel to kick towards Jensen's legs as he goes by. There are cheers as Jared is given a pen to sign the banners. Jensen picks up Jared's chair to take it off stage, meanwhile, Jared takes Jensen's chair and Jared gets a small chair instead.)
JA: Son of a …
JA: I hate you … (Jensen swaps the small chair back)
[Jared wanders around to sign the posters]
JP: Where do I sign?
JA: You're over here.
JP: Where do I sign, high, low?
JA: I was being nice there, I was trying to help him out. Jerk.
(bend over)
JA: This is a family programme
JP:(bends over and wiggles his ass at the audience, stripteases his coat)
JA:(sigh) Waitin' on Jared
JA:(claps Jared's exit)

Jensen's panel

JA: Right, now that the bore-fest is over (laughs)
(Jared is still messing around on stage)
JA: (to Jared) Go away. Jeez.
JA: Sorry about him, wish I could take responsibility, but I can't.
JA: Hi.
JA: All right, now you got me all to yourself.
(audience make a lot of noise)
JA: Don't take that the wrong way; I know there's gentlemen out there who are like, (sarcastic) yea, great dude. Sorry (laughs).
JA: [Directly to the questioner]: Hi.
Q: Can I go?
JA: Absolutely, you're up.
Q: Welcome to Chicago, how you doing?
JA: Good
Q: What's your highest characteristic, principle that you value about yourself and who instilled that in you?
JA: Umm (thinks) I would have to say that it's just kind of the golden rule, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you," and definitely my parents. Patience, also, with just, with whatever gets at you, just kind of let it go, my Dad was always one of those guys who took day by day and rolled with it and seemed to not get ruffled by anything, and I always admired that, that he could keep his cool under pressure. So, yea.
Q: What's your least favourite episode?
JA: My LEAST favourite Supernatural episode? ha ha. Bugs, again, (pause) you know, there's a couple, for various reasons, I got to say one is the one where I went back in time and saw my parents, the only reason I'd say that is that is because Jared had a week in Hawaii, oh that was so, I was so angry (smiling), I just, I had to work really hard, it was a very um, difficult show to do because, it was just a lot of emotions Dean had to go through with that episode, but I guess that's no reason to have it my worst, um, yea, I don't know, I think there's a part of every show that I attach myself to, so I don't think I hate any episode, but there's definitely ones I like more than the others. Thank you.
Everybody's so quiet now. It's fantastic. Should get Jason up here and like play some music in the background?
(you can sing along)
JA: ha ha, yea (quickly changes his mind) I think he's gone now, so, it would've been nice, (looks towards Jason, who is at the back of the room watching Jensen.) uh Jason, walk away, walk away, walking away, and we're walking, I'm just kidding dude, stay there, you look fantastic.
JA: Hi.
Q: My question is for Jared, but …
JA: That's great, I'll answer, I'll answer, absolutely, what do you need? Yes, he is the girl.
Q: Sam had great hair in S1, and mostly S2, what happened?
JA: (he laughs, as does everyone) That's brilliant, I wish I .. our, ah. You know, it's, sometimes, I get sick of my hair, because it's kind of one of those things you lock yourself into, and if you think about Michael Rosenbaum, for that poor guy, shaves his head every …, well, he doesn't any more, but he shaved his head every day for 8 years, are you kidding me? So sometimes I think when you get the opportunity to change it up, you take it, especially like when you're forced to keep the same hair, and I think Jared's just trying something new, I don't know. (Joking, shrugs) Honestly, I wasn't paying that much attention, couldn't really care less what he looks like. Thank you. uhh ha ha, I think he actually wishes he could cut it all off, (audience gasps) oh, he won't but, I just, it's kinda like I was saying, I used to actually have hair his length, and I don't actually miss it.
JA: Hi. Sorry.
Q: I think I'm gonna pass out.
JA: I'll rescue you. (shakes head) Stupid. (covers his eyes)
Q: Could I be the fan that you hug? Jared hugged a fan, so can I be the one you hug?
JA: Wait, what did you say? I totally missed that.
Q: Jared hugged a fan. (audience groans, Jensen puts his hand over his face)
JA: Just one? (shrugs, makes his way across stage) Sorry, she asked first. But there's only one, after this, no more.
JA: (off stage, he gives her a really sweet hug) Hi.
JA: (back to seat) All right,
Q: So, my question,
JA: You do have a question?
Q: My 5-year old is sick today
JA: what's his name? … OK.
Q: Could you do an Eye of the Tiger encore?
JA: (Jensen puts the mike against his forehead and smiles to himself ruefully: he knew he'd get asked this.) Why did I ever do that?
JA: I remember watching and going, what the hell was I thinking?
Q: If you don't want to do it, how did it come about?
JA: I think everyone knows the story, Jared missed his cue on purpose, said like I'm gonna see what he does, and that's what I did. Yea, yea.
(audience clap, make noise)
JA: Everybody seemed to like the leg guitar, I thought that was like an old, that's kinda old, right?
(Do it! Do it!)
(Jensen does the leg guitar again, grins and shakes his head at the reaction)
JA: You're welcome.
JA: (jokingly holds his leg) ah I think I pulled something, pulled a hammie.
Q: I can fix that.
JA: (Jensen laughs at her suggestive tone, says, sternly) Go take care of your five-year old, would you. Make him some Campbell's soup. (voiceover voice) 'It's a good soup.' (laughs at how silly this is) I'm sorry.
Q: If you weren't acting what would you be doing?
JA: Umm you know I get asked this question every now and again, I don't know, I mean I sometimes I think, like, it would be fun to, um be a fisherman, that would be fun, maybe not "the deadliest catch", but uh, or you know, be on a pro sports team, I don't think I'm pro-sports material, but I was actually going to go to school and um (audience shout "stripper")
JA: (deadpan) or a male stripper was my third choice. Somewhere in there I'm sure is a career. I don't know, I'm just going to ride this wave, see where it takes me.
(to audience, sarcastically) That was good, yea, nice. (shakes head)
Q: Who is the hottest actress ever on the show? We think it was the black and white episode.
JA: Oh yea, she was very pretty, yea, it was very hard kissing her.
Q: (suggestively) it was hard, yes. (audience laugh, a lot)
JA: (laughs at the innuendo – to the audience) Stop it.
Q: I like getting a reaction.
JA: Oh, they'll give you it. You know, that's a hard one to answer because we've been really fortunate with a lot of the girls that have come on the show, we've had some really really beautiful, beautiful girls, so honestly, I don't know if I can narrow it down to one, um, yea I don't think I can. Yea.
Q: Validate my parking?
JA: Absolutely.
JA: Thanks.
Q: I've been watching the gag reel lately, you and Jared,
JA: What's his name?
Q: You and Jared work so well together goofing off, is it planned – the scene from JIB?
JA: Where he pulls the gun and Jared screams? That's actually my favourite gag, that's one of my favourite clips from the gag reel, because there was totally, I had no idea, if you'll notice, there's a split-second between him screaming and then I look at him and then immediately join in and that's all it was, it was just, sometimes, we never plan any of that stuff, all spontaneous, I'll maybe look at him and just go follow my lead, and then we'll do something, but he just, no, I mean we're SO much together, we kinda, you know, pick up on each other, when to do it or whatever, it's the nature of the business.
Q: Thank you
JA: Thank you. That was, I actually modelled my cat scream after that, that scream.
JA: Hi Mary
Q: Do you pay attention to prosthetics?
JA: What do you mean by pay attention to it? … I think it's um a little of both, cause some of those applications are, you know, a couple of hours in the chair and it's, you get the call really early, like 5:30 am so I get there and I'm just like (feigns sleep), snore, meanwhile they're putting a bullet wound in my shoulder, like that, but other times I'm sitting there just watching them, it's pretty fascinating, those guys are artists.
Q: long explanation – it looks like a face by the hook.
JA:(Jensen looks slightly confused by the rambling comment) I think it was just, it's like looking at clouds, like hey there's an elephant, was just, yea, there were wrinkles in the application and stuff, I don't know it may have come out looking like some sort of … oh, no, no it wasn't designed to be like that at all.
Q: Thank you
JA: You're welcome.
JA: I hated that scene
(so did we)
JA: for different reasons.
Q: Hey to Tiny, from Folsom Prison Blues.
JA: Clif Kosterman, ladies and gentlemen
Q: Do you think you would have been friends with Dean in high school?
JA: Yea, yea I do, he would have been my friend that I was always pulling out of trouble though, I think. I actually know a couple of guys who remind me of Dean, and I'll kinda go to them, and think about, OK what would, what would Brett do if he was in this kind of a situation, and ha yea, he's a little bit, short-tempered guy, for sure that's easy to do. Course, I was always the one who would either join Brett in the fight or pull him out of one.
Q: Thank you, you've really been knocking it out of the park this year.
JA: You know what, it's, thank you, it's probably, this year has by far been my favourite season, and I think it's the writers, Eric was like, I'm going to go full tilt this season, he told me at the beginning, and I was like all right man, let's see it and he has brought it for sure.
Q: There have been some outstanding motel rooms. (audience shout out)
JA: Um, what was that? Oh, (Magic Fingers) Well yea, we've had that a couple of times, yea, true, the funny thing is there's some big sweaty grip underneath the bed going (shaking it). You know I like the ah, can't remember the name of it, but it was the one where it was all black and white, and there were mirrors, it was, … Provenance, yea because Taylor Cole was guest starring, so we had a big scene in there, but um, there's a little moment where we walk into the scene, and I think Phil was directing the episode and he was like, take a moment to take the room in and just look at each other and go huh, I think it's the only time we've ever done that in all the crazy, like, gaudy motel rooms we've stayed in, that was the first time and, like, this is really messed up. But Jerry Wanek, who is our production designer is a genius, that's really what he, and they kinda really loosen the reins on the hotel rooms with him, and they say do whatever you want, so it's kinda his playtime, is when he gets to design these motel rooms, he is amazing, he was also production designer on Dark Angel, for those of you …
Q: Thank you
JA: Absolutely
Q: Favourite cake flavour?
JA: My favourite, ha ha Um, chocolate, chocolate. Chocolate on chocolate. With chocolate in it, added chocolate sprinkles, ha no. And a cup of chocolate next to it.
Q: Thanks.
JA: Chocolate! Dark chocolate – specify.
Q: Ganache.
JA: What? Geseundheit. What? (laughs at how silly he's being and indicates a man in the audience) he's just shaking his head, 'jeez stupid guy.'
JA: Hi.
JA: Hi, Nicky.
Q: What is the last concert you went to?
JA: The last concert I went to, was actually, it was a very, very cool concert, it was Martin Sexton, but the reason it was really neat, it was in this little, this old old stage theatre in Vancouver, called the Vogue theatre down town, this old renovated theatre, and I slipped in just a little tardy, he was like into his first song, and there was, thinking it was just going to be like a normal concert, you know like House of Blues, something like that, and everybody was seated in their seats like watching a movie, and there was, you could hear a pin drop, it was awesome, he was on stage by himself with guitar, and I felt so bad, it was like walking into the movie late, excuse me, pardon me, excuse me, (motions pushing past people), I'm so sorry, 'get down in front!', and I sat down and he proceeded to just knock it out of the park. He's kinda one of those guys who's just like, his talent is, it really supersedes his following, which is a shame, but uh. Martin Sexton.
Q: Thank you, the music on the show is awesome.
JA: It is, it is pretty, pretty badass.
JA: Hi
Q: My sister, Julie, has been a fan since Mr Rhodes.
JA: Hi Julie (waves)
JA: Wow, so you're the one who watched it, very nice, can you, do you remember the name of my character?
A: Malcolm.
JA: Malcolm what? (she guesses something)
JA: (laughs, does a little eyebrow raise at her) No, he didn't have a last name.
Q: Eric wanted to end Supernatural with season 5, do you agree?
JA: No, he wanted to end it with this season, in fact he told me at the beginning of the season, this is our syndicate year, which, you have to have a certain number of shows to be able to create a syndicate package, to sell, and this was going to put us into that mark, so it would take another, you know, four years or whatever to get into another syndicate package, 'cause that's really where the networks and studios make their money back. So he'd assumed that this was going to be our last year, and he told me, he was like man, I'm going guns a blazin' like, you know, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, this is, the fourth season, we're going to go all chips in, and he did, and ha ha ha, he got, we got the ratings of the first, the season premiere and they were through the roof, and this was Eric's reaction: (laughs and drops head) Aw crap! So I think he's, I don't know what he's going to do – I was like dude, what happens when we go fifth season, he was like 'I guess I'll have to write about robots or something, (joking) but um, (now serious) I think, this season was about what he'd like to do, but now of course they are rigorously trying to come up with it, it'll be fine. I think what they're going to do is kind of pull the reins on where they were going to go, and maybe filter in some more storyline stuff which they, I think they may have left out in the third season due to the writers' strike but it'll trust me, it'll still be a good ride.
Q: Thank you.
JA: Thank you
JA: Hi
Q: I like your name
JA: Thank you, I do too, (deadpan) it's worked out for me.
Q: (inaudible)
JA: Take your time.
Q: First time in the US from Switzerland.
JA: Welcome.
Q: I'm learning a lot of new English words from watching your show,
JA: be sure they're the right ones.
Q: … Dude, pig-in-a-poke, cakehole
JA: (laughs, claps thigh) It's so great with her accent, pig-in-a-poke, it's brilliant, ok what else, give me some more, … okey dokey.
Q: what other words are important?
JA: (!!! rubs chin)umm, yea, that is a good one, ha ha, I don't know, any suggestions? What other phrases, ha ha, come on, something, you know, something good, (A lot of audience suggestions) "get 'er done"? Is *that* what you say? There you go.
Q: what does it mean?
JA: What? Exactly! … No that's, that's, what else, come on what? It's a funkytown? That little kid … what's that? I think we've opened up a can of worms here. It's good to have you, thank you.
Q: one more: please quote rise and shine Sammy?
JA: Can I say what? … (deep Dean voice) Rise and shine, Sam.
JA: (wandering back and forth) I was getting bored sitting down, sorry, so I'm just gonna stand up.
Q: About the Teddy bear episode?
JA: Here's the deal, when I read that I was like WHAT … are they thinking? And then I remembered it was Ben Edlund and I was like, oh right, it's Ben. We did a rehearsal and we walked upstairs, and we're shooting in this little house in Vancouver and we walk upstairs, and there's this little girl and she's there and she goes, right this way, and I hadn't even looked in the room yet, and I, ha, so I didn't know what to expect so, we do the rehearsal and the door opens and, ha, I just stop and I was like ohhhh, oh my god. (he creases up, bends over laughing) Because the guy inside was like, he was just so good, he was like (bear voice) "what?" "waa!"
It was really bizarre, and then the fact that he blew stuffing all over. And the funny part is, is that I think one of our executives, at the s.. um I think the network, not the studio, the network executive, he was offended by that, he was like, 'I think that's horrible, I think we should pull that out of the script.'
(Jensen looks around, acts incredulous)
Have you WATCHED the show? You've got, like, people bleeding out of their eyes, and like chests getting ripped open, and, like, limbs getting cut off, and you're worried about teddy bear stuffing on the wall? Come on man, … and he survived, yea. Anyway, that was very funny, that's uh, yea, and that of course is Ben Edlund and his wacky crazy mind.
(applause)
Q: Beauty, you make us crazy. We are from Bejing, you know it?
JA: All right. Absolutely.
Q: From the Jensen China fan site, we have 4,000 members, we wish you to say "WO AI NI".
JA: Uh, sounds like "what I need"
Q: It means hello in Chinese.
JA: So, say it again, "WO AI NI"?
Q: Actually that means I love you, and thank you so much.
JA: (laughs) "WO AI NI". Thank you.
Q: I love you
JA: "WO AI NI"
Q: I'm with my Mom, there, who brought me here for my Xmas present.
JA: (to back of room) Little early there mom, you're not off the hook.
Q: How is it driving the '67 Impala?
JA: Well, for those of you who have driven old cars like that, the thing's a boat. It's a big, big car, and it's, ah, I usually like to mess with it sometimes, like if we're pulling out I like to kick up some rocks or maybe skid, skid the car sideways a little, power slide, something like that, but it's really hard, because it's a heavy, heavy, heavy car, and it's a very long car, but other than that it's a kick in the ass, I love driving it.
Q: Thank you, hope your career prospers.
JA: Hey, thank YOU.
Q: I'm a gun salesman.
JA: (Conspiratorially) We'll talk later.
Q: I have a side-by-side, what's your favourite weapon of Dean's?
JA: Side-by-side? That's a good one, it's funny to me, because the side-by-sides, that's, she's talking about the shotguns I use, the little swan-off, pistol grip, if I actually shot that thing, with two full loads in it, it would knock me out. Just, with that amount of blast, with that little weight, it would be boom (demo of the huge kick). I'd say my favourite is my Colt, uh, the 1911? yup, 1911. So, actually I have taken it out and shot it, or another one like it, we actually, Jared and I, go down to Washington; we have a buddy down there who has a gun range, and we go down there and shoot (pause), shoot stuff.
Q: I'm the only girl in the shop,
JA: Sweet!
Q: (ramble)… in the show, do you use real bullets?
JA: It's all fake, it's what they call, uh, we have like quarter loads, half loads, full loads, and it's all just kind of, there's no actual projectile in the bullet or in the shell, so it just, it's all you get is a blast, it's a blank, basically. But blanks can also be very, can actually be lethal, have killed people on set, because of the wadding that comes out. It's still, you know, it's still a very dangerous situation, so even when we're dealing with blanks, we still treat them as though they are really loaded, but we generally – it depends on what kind of like quarters we're in – if we're in a really tight set we just probably use quarter loads, which is a quarter of the blast that you normally see. If we're outside, we can get away with a full load, and I prefer full loads, just 'cause I like the flame and the kick, you know, it feels more like you're shooting a real bullet, yea.
Q: I'd like to go on the range with you, I think I could out-shoot you.
JA: You probably could. (Audience: call out bb guns, asking for the story from Jason Manns)
JA: Am I missing something? Ohhh. Need I? Do I need to explain what happened? (enacts being shot in the back of the leg)
Shoot me
Ah, ah gahh
OK, your turn
That's it, that's it.
Do it again, do it again,
ow, my thigh, why would you do that?
(sigh) That's what Texas guys do when they're bored. Oh yea, paintball, we didn't bring the paintball guns out that time, but we thought we'd go with something a little bit more dangerous,
Get the twenty-two (.22)
No
It'll hurt more
I know! (Jensen shakes his head at himself) I'm sorry..
Q: Hi I'm Molly
JA: I say Hello Molly every day on set, you know why, 'cause our trainee AD, her name is Molly, and I see her every day, and she gives me a hug, I'm a big fan of Molly.
Q: Where does the pie reference come from?
JA: You know I just think it goes back to the whole Dean likes to eat thing, … and it's always pie, I know. I don't know, I think Eric must have some sort of, (laughs) some sort of sick relationship with pie, I don't read too much into this stuff, I just say it, like that just came from the writers' room, hey pie's funny.
JA: My favourite type of pie? Is um, my gran's chocolate pie, …
Q: pumpkin my, actually, my second favourite is my mother's pumpkin pie – and it's OK, she knows. Umm, but yea, I'd say my gran's chocolate pie.
Q: thank you, have a good day
JA: thank you, you have a good day, Molly. Is that it? Are we out of here? Ok, so
JA: Thank you very much for coming, it really means a lot to me, and the people that made the show, and you guys, our numbers are up incredibly this year, we, I think we got like maybe over a million more viewers this season, which is really really good, you're making a lot of people happy, and you're keeping us working, so thank you.
(Jensen signs the banners and throws the pen into the audience.)
