Jared cut his nose this morning shaving and he was bleeding in the shower.
Jared: We premiere this week! Jensen: But we already know what happens
Jensen got a small coffee this morning: So I'm gonna be a little slow.
Complicated AU question. Jensen: Next question.
The question is about how relationships with AU versions of characters might be different than what Sam and Dean expect, how will they react?
Jared likes seeing how things turn out, how they work out differently than expected (like Mary). “Man plans, God laughs.”
Jensen: I haven’t read a script since season two.
Fan: Congrats on your new additions! Jared, wide-eyes: We have new additions??
Jensen (about the AU): Is it ripped or rift? Jared: *facepalm*
Time period you would go back to? Jared: Late 60′s, the modern renaissance. Thinks it would be fun to like go to the car hop and stuff. Jensen: Dinosaurs. Jared: You’d be eaten by a tyrannosaurus? Jensen: Uh, yeah! Better than dying of polio.
Jensen: I wouldn’t wanna go back in time ‘cause everything we have now is a luxury, a lot of it we wouldn’t have back then even in the 60′s.
Jensen: I wanna see some cool shit. Dinosaurs.
What if John came back, given who they are now? Jensen: Thought it was most obvious for Dean needing Dad rather than Mom with Amara’s gift.
Jared made the “straight legs” joke again like at the last con about what Dean needed. Jensen: Who needs those? Jared: I said that last time and Jeffrey Dean Morgan lost his shit (referring to this x lol)
Jared: Dean realizing Dad isn’t a god, Sam having a bone to pick… both would see him as more human now. Mediating.
Fan asks if they met Doris (the blow up doll at the convention). J2 are confused and alarmed lol. Jared: Nice question you picked, Ackles!
At one point Jared tries to drink his iced coffee, laughs, and spits it out 😛
What would soulless J2M look like? Jensen: You’re lookin’ at him.
Fan: If you were soulless would you go shopping? Boys laugh. Jared: Yeah!
Jared teasing about begging Sera Gamble for time off. Jensen: I just ask for good stories, but …
Soulless!Jared would probably be very mathematical. Jensen: I would be wildly irresponsible. On a day-to-day basis.
Prank question. Jensen about he and Jared: We made a pact early on, we’re better as allies. Better as a team.
Jared hooked up the hair/makeup trailer to Misha’s front bumper when he parked in front of it. A crew member took it off when it got dark lol. Jared came out of his trailer and saw that it had been removed and was like yeah, that’s probably good. During the day it was funny because you could see it was obviously hooked to the trailer, but couldn’t tell so much at night.

Did J2 carve the SW DW on the table? Jared: It was outlined for us, but we did the actual carving.
Jared: The scene felt like Sam and Dean talking about what they had done, but also talking about what we (J2 and the SPNFamily) have done.
Fan: Initials are like claiming the bunker as their home. Jensen: Better than peeing on everything, generally how we do it lol.
Fan: Are the SPN years the best of your life? They hope it isn’t the best, that there’s more to come, but Jared: If this is what defines my career, I couldn’t be happier. I love a great book, but I’m excited to finish it.
Fan tells J2 about how Misha insulted Baby during his panel, calling her 40. J2 say it isn’t that insulting when Misha can’t even add (the car being 50). They remind Misha that the car is the real number 3 on the call sheet lol.
Jensen wants to know what else Misha said about the car. Fan says he said it was impractical. Jensen: And wearing the same clothes everyday is practical?
Fan: Misha said it was an impractical old gas guzzler. Jared: He’s a gas guzzler! Fan: Misha says Baby breaks down all the time. Jensen: Kind of like him. Jared: He’s just jealous.
J2 about Misha: He’s fourth on the call sheet after Baby, and he’s trying to usurp. Jensen: The car’s not even actually on the call sheet, but we know.
Jensen: Let’s be honest, the car is not practical, but it’s awesome.
J2 do their impression of season 1 Sam and Dean from the Pilot, with Jared giving himself bangs and J2 doing high voices and cracking each other up.
Jensen wants to see modern-day Henry Winchester on the show. Like current Grandpa Winchester. Played by Sam Elliott.
Jared: I was gonna say, I wanna see Danneel on the show. Jensen: Kiss ass! Jared: In all fairness, he killed my wife on the show so I’d like to kill his. He could help, obviously, he could hold her (like how they killed Ruby lol). Jensen: And then we’ll just have a viewing party for all the children. Boys crack up.

I’m gonna start with Jared’s M&G. Another reason to keep me anon since we’re not supposed to discuss those. He hardly mentioned G at all, talked about his kids a bit. But then someone asked him what’s the most meaningful thing he’s given someone else now that he has the means to do so. He said he bought his parents a car and his buddy two guitars. Then he said because Jensen saw this watch he really wanted but for some reason he wouldn’t buy it for himself, Jared bought it for him. He seemed pretty nonchalant about it too, like “here ya go Jen”. Then he said “actually, I bought Jensen several watches, one of which he wears every day”. Someone asked him about the song and video he did for ‘I am human’ he said Brian is one of his closest friends So he wanted to help him out. The lyrics spoke to him about how he’s sometimes worried about disappointing ppl but that he’s learning that he’s just human and will screw up and make mistakes. Someone asked him if he’ll play guitar and/or sing with Jensen again and he said they both were discussing it together and debating crashing SNS but were too tired, so they went to grab dinner and then ‘crashed into bed instead’ HIS WORDS.
Then we were almost done and he asked if anyone had anything else so someone asked him about the bad idea and he said he and Jensen keep a lot of each other’s and mutual secrets and he doesn’t want to violate that trust so he can’t tell us. He was smiling so he wasn’t mad (?) But I think I remember him mumbling something as he was turning away… like “it really was a bad idea”
Jensen’s M&G:
I don’t think he mentioned D at all but did briefly mention kids and JJ. We were talking about music and his singing for a little while bc someone asked if he sings lullabies to his kids. He said no. When he sings with JJ it’s usually her Disney songs and he just strums the guitar as background. Someone asked a question about ‘Angeles’ And he said it’s a song with many guitar chords in it so it’s pretty difficult to play so he uses it as warm-up. So he got so good at it that Steve asked him to record it and then convinced him to make the video. Jared was around so he asked him to record it on his iPhone. So for Jensen it was the melody more than the words and he acknowledged that the lyrics are pretty dark. I think he also mumbled something along the lines ‘ a dark view of the entertainment industry’ but I couldn’t hear that well.

Jensen says it's a special week, season premiere this Thursday.  Also, my dear friend Mr Jared Padalecki will be on Jimmy Kimmel.  We're very excited about it, also for being here.  Thanks for sticking around to see us, after seeing these guys last night (the band), that's why I come most times.  But we were filming late, well you (Jared) were filming until 3am west coast time, 6am local, I wrapped about an hour and a half before he did, so we got in late.
Q: You guys must be exhausted, What do you think Sam and Dean's last thoughts would be before they die?
Jared: we've approached that subject so many times, I dug the end of S9 with Metatron kills Dean, the "I'm proud of us".
Jensen: A collection of good moments, the brothers, with his mother, father, Bobby, Cas, important people, also moments of killing the big bad, and the victory that Dean has from those moments.
Q: What story from the past would you like to elaborate on?
Jared: Demon Dean and Soulless Sam.
Jensen: Dean in purgatory.
Q:  I have a Russian Blue cat names after you.  Who would you vote the most ditchable prom date?
Jared: Russian Blue?  I know lots of breeds of dogs but none of cats.
Jared: what are the choices?  (from the cast)
Jensen: Cas, see what I did there.
Jared: That means you accepted his invitation to the prom first.
Jensen: Have you seen him in a dress?
Jared: Many a time. This is going to sound wrong, Jared is happy but Sam probably should have ditched demon Ruby.
Q: (Jensen asks a little girl, Hi, what is your name?) Lilith – J2 both run away.  What is your favorite monster?
Jared: Lilith.
Jensen: I agree, if they look as cute as you that would certainly be my
favorite.  What's yours?  (A ghost.)
Jared: If you ever see a ghost, you come and get your friends Sam and Dean and
we'll deal with it.
Jensen: What are you going to be for Halloween?  You could be a ghost, that's a pretty easy costume.
Q: What's your favorite childhood memory?
Jensen: I had a good childhood so have a lot of good memories, my 4th birthday I got to ride a horse for the first time, I used to have this sheriff's vest, I wore it every day, I thought I was a cowboy back then, so that was pretty exciting.
Jared; When I was 7, I broke my arm and was in hospital for a week, so I was spoilt with a lot of candy and baseball cards, there was one guy who'd written some bad words on his bat and they didn't realise you could see it and they printed it, and the found out so it was a really rare card, it was worth about ten bucks, so they brought me a pack every day.
Q: If you could direct your own episode what would it be?
Jared: the world's most boring episode, doing laundry, the alarm goes off and they go back to sleep, some Sam and Dean behind the scenes, cleaning the car, cleaning the bunker, when nothing happens.  Like Seinfeld.
Jensen: I think it was a movie Sliding doors, it splits off where she caught the train and what happened if she didn't.   A buddy of mine sent me a picture with two magazines on a news stand one says "the divorce is final" and the other is "The divorce is off", it's like choose your own adventure.
Q: What advice would you give your character for the next season?
Jared: I know what's happened, so it's cheating.
Jensen: I would tell Dean not to jump to conclusions.  (crowd ooo) Talk amongst yourselves.
Jared goes off into various impressions.  Yes, advice, I would say don't get too attached.
Q: Favorite part of working together?
Jared: My days off.
Jensen: Then we wouldn't be working together would we?  The fact that we laugh so much, we laugh a lot.
Jared: and further, there is a lot of work, being a lead on a TV show is the hardest job, you can't prepare, you don't know what you're doing for 8 months.  A lot of it sucks, being away from family, friends, filming late, another saying is if you find work you love you never "work" another day.  Sometimes it's hard doing a scene with a new actor, but when it's the two of us, whether action, fight scenes, car, whatever it is, it doesn't feel like work,  it's fun and characters we love.
Q: Can you give us some spoilers?
Jared: Do you work for WB?
Jensen: Hmmmm I'll give you some spoilers, prepare yourself for some interesting characters coming this season.  Maybe coming back, maybe new.
Q: If Sam and Dean could bring back only one character who would it be?
(crowd shout Charlie loudest, and then other characters)
Jensen: Did you say Jon Snow?  Wrong convention.  I talked about this in the M+G, I would love to bring back Azazeal.
Jared: For many different reasons, Charlie.  That brings out a different side of Sam, with Charlie and Sully.  Sides of Sam and Dean we haven't explored a lot.
Jensen: Benny and Dean's dynamic was cool and that was fun.
Q: In the AU can we bring back Ruby, and we have waited 13 seasons for Danneel to be on the show.
Jared: As much as I'd love to bring back Ruby, I'd have to watch the kids.  I don't know if she could sneak away with thekids.  But I'd like to see Danneel on the show.
Jensen: She's rocking three kids too, umm I don't know we've waited tyhis long, listen, if those decisions were up to me, the show would probably have been cancelled a long time ago.  So yea, if that'sw something they want her for and she agrees, it would certainly be on her terms, we've been waiting a long time, I don't know.
Jared: What character would she be?  (Baby)  That would complicate things.
Jensen: What would you want her to play?  Good or bad?  (Good) But she plays bad so well.
Q: How do you feel when fans do crazy things for you like this? (has a friend who is body-painted) Jensen have you seen this -(it took 24 hours to do) well first, that it took you 24 hours to do, it would take me 24 years, also, it takes a lot of talent to do that, you're an incredible artist, that's awesome. (to Jared) You should go look at it, it's unbelievable.  Jared brings the girl on stage.
Jensen: Is it airbrush, yea airbrush and make-up.   (The question is how do you feel when fans do all these crazy things, like all the fundraising we do for you, how do you feel about having such good fans like us.)
Jensen: for me, it took a while to fully understand how amazing it was, I was a little in my shell when we first started doing these conventions, I've grown into it and got to speak with you, it's inspiring, it's energizing, it's like fuel.  It's not weird it's fuel, inspiration.
Jared: Furthermore, when you all save up money, you give up your time to come here, and it's not one-upmanship but if you're crazy we are too – we give up 13 years, we're just as dedicated too.
Q: Gabriel and the Trickster, is there really a trickster, or was it always Gabriel?
Jared: I think there was no trickster, it was Gabriel pretending, his quirky sense of humor.  Richard texted us and used a gif of himself as trickster; possibly the single greatest gift of doing this show is that there are so many gifs (is it jif or gif)?
Jensen: gif, like gift without the t.
Q: Is there a sport you always wanted to do but haven't got a chance yet?
Jared: Play cricket at the Marylebone Cricket Club, not really, but there are things I'd love to do like take driving courses, something like that but I haven't time, although that's more safety.
Jensen: I did a lot of sports growing up, so that rules them out, but maybe kite-surfing, that looks like fun, where there are sharks.
Q: What was the funniest moment to film, hardest because you were laughing so much?
Jensen: We laugh so much on a daily basis that prevents us from filming.  Recently, Jared, Misha and Alex, we were shooting and just not behaving professionally, it was Alex's close up and we were messing with him so bad – it's like Misha 2.0, we were making him laugh and making obscene gestures, saying the wrong lines.  So the director says OK, moving on.  She switches to my coverage and they tried to make me laugh, but I have done this so long I never break, I can do all my lines without the other person, in fact one time, Jared didn't say any of his lines, I said don't speak, so he didn't, I just said his lines in my head and did the whole scene.  So we did our scenes, she said OK boys are wrapped, Alex you stay here, and she sent us away, and they did Alex's close up with them reading our lines and tape marks for our faces.  Even if I stay stone faced, while he is trying to make me laugh, he laughs and ruins it anyway.  He always laughs half way through his jokes.
Q: Back a bit to Dark Angel, 2019 is when DA takes place, is there any
possibility in the future of SPN Sam and Dean will come across some of the
mutants?
Jensen: I hope not, those guys were badass, that would be an interesting crossover, some Manticore people show up.  I'd like to recruit them for our team that would be nice.  They were bioengineered superhumans.  Kevin Durand, he was a dog.  Yes, that would be cool but I'm not the one that makes those kind of decisions.
Q: If you had to live out any season for a year in your life, which one?  (both look horrified)
Jared: Six maybe, at least I didn't care since I was soulless.  Not 5 with Lucifer.  I'll go with 9.
Jensen: For me, 4.
Last question: (Jensen plays piano loudly)
Q is something about the cage and is (Adam?) still there.  Jared says yes,
probably.
