Kim Rhodes: about Jared and Jensen. When she first got the guest spot on the show, her first scene was the big emotional scene of her husband and son being killed. Jared and Jensen were off throwing a football around and Kim thought oh no, I’m on my own for my first big emotional scene. Then as they got ready to roll, Jared and Jensen came over and Jensen simply asked her, “What do you need?”
Mark Sheppard: It’s very humbling to see the things I’ve said that people have written for me. And some of them are mine [that he wrote]. Without Crowley, I wouldn’t have done a lot of other things…. Crowley was a collaboration. He started out a great character, had great writers, and I think I made him my own.
Sunday started early – with Jensen and Jared’s gold panel. Not as early as usual, though, because someone slept through their alarm clock. That would be Jared.

Jensen says we're feeling good this morning.
Jared says he apologises, he was the one who slept through the alarm this morning.
Jensen Jensen: I don’t know why you’re apologizing. They all KNOW it’s you.
Jared: So you'll have the rare opportunity to have a tired Jared who is very very honest.
Jensen: How is that rare? Take it easy buddy, just keep drinking… whatever is in that.
Jared goes to pick up the guitar on stage.
Jensen says take a question, and points at "Negan". She has no question, just a joke. What's cheaper, beernuts or deernuts. – Deernuts because they're under a buck.
Jensen shakes his head, he goes and takes his denim jacket off and rolls up his sleeves.
What values do you hope to impart to your children and will it vary by gender.
Jensen: One would be do as I do, not as Uncle Jared does But there's a lot of lessons I will attempt to teach my children, I do know that the growing responsibility I feel as a parent is intensifying greatly as they get older and there are now three of them, it's a challenge. But one of the biggest things is love and acceptance.
Jared: it sounds so cheesy but we went to Jason Manns' yesterday, by Uber it's three hours, we got lost, but he was the nicest man on the planet and talked about kids.  I just want them to be happy, whatever they do, when I was a kid we didn't have much money, so I researched which jobs have a goos starting salary, and three of the top ten were engineering.
Jensen: I want to teach them a ton of little lessons, I want to teach them how to drive a standard transmission, how to bait a hook, what proper music is, but I look forward to crossing those of fthe list.
Jared: as long as they're happy.
Q: How do you prepare for how Sam reacts when Dean dies?  Jared: I read the script many many times and on the day just try to see how I feel, like Mystery Spot?
That was probably one of the worst weeks of my life.
Jensen: (joking) the audience are asleep – wrap it up!  He goes to sit down.
Someone has a large banner, Jensen reads "I love you Jensen"  I'm concerned for the person you had to kill for all the blood you used to write that.
Jared pushes Jensen away an almost spills his coffee, Jensen pushes Jared back.  Jared plays with his hat while someone asks a rambling question.
Does the personal relationship with each other help you act the emotions?  Jensen: Our relationship with our character is what helps, I feel awful if Dean has to go trhough that, poor Dean.  To jared: Are you done?
How do your wives feel about…?
Jared: Terrible.  A lot of regret, hahahaha
Jensen: OK, all right, here, yes?
Any fight scene where you accidentally connected?
Jared: accidentally?  Good question, that can be boiled down to do you enjoy punching people who wasn't expecting it.
Jensen I don't think I have ever, we get hit more than hit.   I did hit Kerr in MY Bloody Valentine, with an axe handle, got him in the eye.  Dracula did get me with one, he said did I get you,  I said yea, just keep going.  Remember when we're throwing punches they are not full force, we have to pull our punches, it shouldn't knock you out unless you have a really weak chin.
Jared: like Misha.
Jensen: You can just go (blow) kidding, we love Misha.

You voiced the Red Hood, did you enjoy it?  Jensen: yes, it was fun, I would totally do it again, I'd like to do a live action version, but no talks about that just yet, we'll see.
Is Alex the new target, like Misha?  Yes.
Jared; He's very bright and talented…I like hima lot more than Misha.
Jensen: Never tell him that to his face.
How are your families doing?Jared: I don't know, do you know?
Jensen: Good, everybody's fine, twins are a little sick right now, (ahh) they're babies, they'll get over it.  I had my youngest daughter say Hi to me this morning, that was a first, and she's been saying Dad but now my little dude is saying it too, so that's kinda cool.
Jared plays a video on his phone of his kids saying Longhorns, because Gen took them to a longhorns game last night.
Fan: read your chapters in Fangasm book.  I want toknow about your writing process.  Jensen: Simple I didn't wrtie it, I am not a writer, nor do I intend to be, Lynn, who put the book together asked me, I said I will answer questions interview style, and you can use that, becasue if I sit down to write, a whole lot of nothing comes out.
But he took, … seven years?
Jared: Two years, no lie.  He knows because we went as a family, two families to Turks and Caicos, they're all swimming on the beach and I'm sitting at my computer typing.  I'm not a writer, so it's difficult to find the words.   It was really stressful because in my case it was a lot of stuff I hadn't said publicly.
Jensen: So the process was really just harrassment until it forces you to do something.
If you were a drink what would you be?
Jared whispers to Jensen.  Jensen: are we talking soft drinks?
Fan: (sounding very impatient) Any drink you want, Jensen, every drink possible.  Jensen (frowns): Well tecnically you could drink turpentine, that doesn't make it a drink.  Jared feigns keeping them apart.
Jensen asks Jared, sayng I know which one he'd be, you drink thirty of them every day.
Fan interrupts, can I say what I think you are? jensen: Oh fine.
She says: Jared, you would be coca cola becasue you are sweet, and you are bubbly …blah blah (Jensen snores) you hurt my heart, but… blah blah…
Jensne: All right, moving along,
For jared: what is most important lesson you've learned from being Sam?  Jared: To keep going.
Jensen was it hard in S10 to act bad, to be evil?   I thought act bad, not for some of us (nod to Jared) , no, it was fun, I don't get to play so many different characters as this one does.

(Some fans tossed bags of gummies to Jared, which he hilariously failed to catch)
How are you gyus?
Jensen: We're good, this is the part of the season where it's been longest without a break, but we get a break next week.
Jared: I'll be hinest, this is the time of year it's tough, my son started kindergarden, not day care, he is in school, and the other day my wife had our first parent-teacher conference and I was facetimeing Miss Harrington our teacher.  So that's tough.
Jensen: But to be fair we did the show long before we had children, and wives, but now it's just that much more difficult, but we're still doing good, we are surrounded by amazing people, it's a lot of travel, time away, but this is something that's really special, it won't last for ever, but while we have this, we want to protect it.
Jared: We're grateful to be around  you guys.

Jensen began playing a dramatic keyboard introduction, and the J2 jump.
First question – what's the scariest thing?
Jared: there was a ghost…
Jensen: Oh THAT one.
Jared: The guy was like 6'8 tall, he was dragged by a chain. Sam is trying to crawl and the guy was supposed to throw him around and usually people just pretend but he was so strong he actually threw me along the ground.
Jensen: Lucifer, Mark Pellegrino, he's so good and very intimidating when working with him up close, and when he turns to punch you in the face, and you quickly remember he's a trained boxer, he has trained for many many many years to connect with his target. I died a little that day, lost a few years of my life, I haven't been truly scared like since, I don't know when.
Jared: Did you say Lucifer or tight-ifer? (someone shouts: you said that at your first con)
Q: How does it feel to be 40 next year?
Jensen: same as when I turned 39 this last year, IDK, I was excited to enter my 30s, I'm pretty excited to enter my 40s, it's just a number right.
Jared: A friend from Austin came up to visit in episode 1 or 2 this year, and we went out to dinner, and there were three girls, and one was a fan her friends asking about the show and how long it's been on, 13 years, OMG how OLD are you? And Jensen said 39, and she made this face: (UGH) and he's a handsome man, I have never seen a woman look at Jensen Ackles like that.
Jensen: Where was this?
Jared: With Jason, the three girls who asked…,
Jensen: But you told me this story about Halloween
Jared: Yes, that was about me, a similar thing, you were there…
Jensen: Well I may have been there physically but, anyhow
Q: Superheroes, which one would you play?
Jared: The invisible man, so I could stay home.
Jensen: The good ones have been taken, I'm still holding on to Red Hood. I'd like to give that live action a try.
Q: After SPN is over (Jensen holds Jared back!), would you two consider producing your own show? (Other actor is a producer)
Jared: I hope I never work with him again.
Jensen: Yea, there's going to be a lot of therapy. I've never had the producer bug, I enjoy taking it over when it gets to the artistic standpoint, directing, performances, I certainly hope to continue working in that regard, – crating my own content, I might lean on more creative people when it comes to conceptualizing things. (actor who is producer)
Jensen: Well I don't know what his deal was, but a lot of timesactors get a producer credit just as a novelty, so the studio can pay actors more, because they can't pay an actor more on their network, but if they are a producer they can get paid for that when really they are not involved at all. For me Idon't have a desire to do that.
jared: Me too, I enjoy…. taking something tha's been conceived and trying to make it better in any way I can, so maybe…nothing like a story I have to tell. I actually enjoy the idea of casting, in 60 seconds..
Jensen: You ever done casting? It's awful.
Jared: I think I'm good at knowing who can act and who can't. Not saying that I can or can't.

Q: (characters returning)
Jared: um how far along on the show are you?
Jensen: We've seenthem deal with the multiple losses, Sam who is hopeful, keep the idea alive we will fix this. Dean, I can't see it, therefore I can't fix it, I think that's his coping mechanism right now, we will see how that changes when certain people start to show back up.
Jared: Life carries on, Sam still knows he has the son of satan in the bunker, (audience talk)
Jensen: What are you on, season 4? Spoiler alert, Bobby doesn't make it! Do you guys ever find John?
Q: Hardest thing about being an actor?
Jensen: covertly points to Jared (laughter)
Jared: It's hard to suck your cheeks in for so many hours. (audience: burns like Mary on the ceiling)
Jensen: Mom dies? This show is terrible!
Jared: uhh I think the way he and I approach acting is similar, we try to find the truth, people say you're an actor you must be a good liar, (Jensen shakes his head), but you're showing somebody else's truth, I've spent a lot of time with Sam Winchester, I'm looking forward to spending more taim with jared Padalecki.
Jensen: The hours. We can do a fourteen hour day, it's not just being at work, it's being on call ready to perform for 14 hours, so there might be an hour where you take a nap,and you're like (wake up) what am I doing, coffee, red bull and you perform the best you can and you do that until 4 in the morning, on your ninth cup of coffee, and trying to keep your eyes open. There aren't many days like that, but those days, that's when you know that what you're doing is not always easy, this is a job. But I'm grateful for those days, for every day I get to play this character, do what I do, I truly do love it.
Q: You made these characters your own, if you pick any other actor to portray your character, who would it be and what would be their catchphrase, like Sam's is "so get this" and Dean's is "son of a bitch".
Jensen: I like this Dean guy.
Jared: People ask what's your favorite line, and it's "they put make-up on us!" I would love Sterling K Brown, he's brilliant, and he's very smart and compassionate.
Jensen: Someone I would watch and think (sigh) he's so good, would probably be Tom Hardy, and his catchphrase would be this – hmmm – have you noticed, he grunts a lot.
Jared: Sterling's catchphrase would be "why is my brither always grunting?
Q: I'm from England, the University of Winchester. If SPN could be shot somewhere else, where would you like to go?
Jared: We always talk we would like to go to the beach, but Sam and Dean would still be in 7 layers of clothing.
Jensen: England would be really nice on us. Where are some of the most haunted places in the world? I do think it would be really cool to do some UK castles, there's a lot of places we would like to go, but unfortunately probably not gonna happen, but we can dream about it. Did they give you a major in ghosts 101, and instead of books you get salt and a gasoline canister that would be awesome.
Q: Do you find yourself acting in real life as well?
Jared: I think anything you do all day starts to bleed into your real life, that's the most difficult part of acting, but also the best, you are in someone else's reality, a crazy fantastical world, of demons and hell, so yea I'm blessed to have learned a lot from Sam.
Jensen: In 13 years, we've obviously grown into men and the character
Jared: Boys2men – motions for a drum, Jensen motions no.
Jensen: So there's obviously a lot of crossover between how I've grown over 13 years and the character has grown, but at the same time, it's a character, I play, and I still enjoy it.

Q: What about Henry Winchester's wife, who would you want to play her.
Jared: Danneel!
Jensen: (frowns at Jared). I'll go with one person who can play teenage to grandmother, Meryl Streep, she could play all the Winchesters – Betty White, that makes me laugh, she'd be super funny and kind of mean, I'm a huge Golden Girls fan.
Q: Whose death was harder, Bobby or your Dad?
Jared: Sam didn't have a chance to make peace with his Dad, so for Sam it was Dad.
Jensen: I'm going to say Bobby, because it was Dean losing Dad a second time.
Q: So Jensen on instagram, he has his family business in his bio section, not the website section of his instagram.
(Jensen gets his phone out and edits it.)
Jensen: (Phone back in pocket)  I don't know what you're talking about.
Q: Jensen has played leg guitar a lot, has Jared ever joined in?
Jared: I try not to touch his leg.
Jensen: (leg across Jared's chair).
Jared: Yea, we goof around sometimes
Jensen: He plays my leg guitar all the time, and he's pretty good.  You know why, because he's got an eye for talent. (gets water, and then throws the bottle over his shoulder)
Jared: At a concert about two months back, I did what you just did, when a friend of ours went to get water at a concert, and as a joke I just threw it, not realising this giant dude was behind me and it hit him in the face, oh I'm so sorry, but I was giggling. (Jensen gets his phone out to scroll through to find a photo)
Q How do you work with the children on the show to help them not being scared.
Jared: It's not like working with adults.  They have a lot of different things – the have a teacher on set, and a parent with them, so it's not so scary.
Jensen: We have kids, and we are kids, so it’s not hard for us to relate to child actors on the show.
Jensen: The thing is you're only seeing it cut together with all the VFX and it, but they are on set seeing the set and the crew people, and we tell them what we're about to do, we're laughing all the time and talking between takes, we really make them feel comfortable so they give a better performance, so we keep it light between takes if the scene is really dark.
Last question. It's Jess from Brazil. (sorry for my English)  What changed in your life before and after being a parent?
Jared: Your English is better than Jensen's.
Jensen: I could talk to you for an hour about this, but I will just say I don’t live for myself anymore. I live for my kids, and it’s a pretty humbling thing to accept.  It's pretty cool
Jared: I return to Austin, it's all the little things that kids love, to climb trees, look a bug!
Jensen: That's true, Jared was getting excited over a bug backstage just now. He was like, “Jensen, Jensen, look at this caterpillar!
